About Us
The Center for School Evaluation, Intervention and Training (CSEIT) provides training and technical assistance for faculty and administrators in the Chicago Public Schools, additional school districts and state education agencies. Our goal is to improve the lives of students, teachers, staff and families as they relate to school experiences.
Housed in Loyola University Chicago's School of Education, CSEIT works to improve outcomes for students, teachers and families by:
- Preparing future service educators, including teachers and school psychologists
- Enhancing school supports through action research and evaluation
- Developing future leaders to sustain education reform efforts
CSEIT focuses on high-school positive behavior supports (PBS), problem solving, response to treatment interventions (RTI), and state education agency technical assistance evaluation efforts.
CSEIT activities include: providing integrated pre-service training in best practices, leading research on high-school supports, and supporting master's-level and doctoral students who conduct research on whole school interventions for high schools.
