Higher Education Program Distinguished Alumnus/a Award
On March 31, 2008, over 60 School of Education Higher Education program alumni, guests, and faculty attended a Loyola reception held in Atlanta, GA at the national meeting of the American College Personnel Association: College Educators International. The attendees were welcomed by Dr. David Prasse, Dean of the School of Education and by Dr. Terry E. Williams, Associate Professor and Program Director. At the reception, Dr. Sandria Rodriguez, a 1998 Ph.D. graduate, was awarded the program's first Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award for outstanding contributions through scholarship and service to the larger higher education profession. This reception will become an annual event held either at the national meeting of ACPA and/or at NASPA. In 2009, the reception will be held at ACPA in Washington, D.C.
