Jewish educational leadership institute (JELI) Graduate Program
This is a special cohort program developed for the Jewish Educational Leadership Institute (JELI) by Loyola University Chicago. The academic program comprises 36 hours (12 courses) of graduate courses over two summers followed by one Fall term. Students in this cohort program are financial aid eligible for Federal Stafford Loans, Graduate PLUS Loans and for alternative student loans.
JELI students enroll at Loyola University Chicago in the following pattern:
-
1st Summer – 12 credit hours (full-time)
-
2nd Summer – 12 credit hours (full-time)
-
2nd Fall – 12 credit hours of practicum experience in the field (half-time)
Students are awarded financial aid for one-term enrollment, with Federal Stafford Loans not to exceed one-half of the academic year maximum for any one term. In the 2007-2008 academic year:
Loan funds are disbursed to Loyola University Chicago and applied by the Bursar to the student’s University account. Students receive an email to outline the specifics of each disbursement.
If the funds are in excess of the charges, the remaining amount will be refunded by the Bursar to the student (electronically, if the student has a Direct Deposit profile established in Locus). The student may use the excess credit refund to make payments to JELI, as needed.
