The John Felice Rome Center, The Beijing Center, & Loyola

If you are planning to attend Loyola's John Felice Rome Center, the Beijing Center or a Loyola exchange program during the Fall, Spring or both semesters, please note that all assistance is transferable except Federal Work-Study. For a list of Loyola exchange programs, visit: www.luc.edu/studyabroad. All financial aid processing must be completed before your departure. Financial aid processing includes: signing all promissory notes and returning them to Loyola/lender, completing online entrance loan counseling and enrolling in Electronic Refunds.

To find out if your processing is complete and to be assured that you don't need to take further action, please check the status of your financial aid processing before you depart in LOCUS at: www.luc.edu/locus.

Visiting Students to the John Felice Rome Center and The Beijing Center

Federal regulations allow a student to receive financial assistance only from the school from which he/she will receive a degree. A visiting student who attends Loyola's Rome and Beijing Centers cannot receive federal, state or institutional grant or loan assistance from Loyola.

If the students "home" school agrees to process aid on the student's behalf, the student must arrange for a consortium agreement between the student's school and Loyola. This agreement allows the home school to award summer financial assistance, even though the student is enrolled at Loyola. Inquiries regarding consortium agreements should be directed to lufinaid@luc.edu.

Please note: Some schools do not allow participation in consortium agreements; your home school will determine your eligibility for a consortium agreement.

The options for financial assistance for students in ineligible programs are limited to Alternative Loans offered by Loyola's suggested lenders.

In addition to the Rome Center, the Beijing Center and Loyola exchange programs, students may choose from more than 50 other study abroad programs, listed at: www.luc.edu/studyabroad. Students interested in these programs are encouraged to contact OSFA as soon as possible. Loyola academic scholarships and Loyola grants cannot be used for study abroad or study away programs. All financial aid processing must be completed before your departure. Financial aid processing includes: signing all promissory notes and returning them to Loyola/lender, completing entrance loan counseling and enrolling in Electronic Refunds.
