Alumni Awards
Loyola's graduates have distinguished themselves in a variety of endeavors - in law, business, government and public service. The School of Law, its Law Alumni Association, and various student organizations have established a number of awards to honor these women and men who have exemplified the ideals of the school that have fostered its development for nearly a century.- Medal of Excellence

Each year the School of Law recognizes outstanding public service and pro bono activity by presenting an award to one or more lawyers at the Public Interest Law Convocation.
Medal of Excellence
This award is given annually by the Law Alumni Association to an alumnus/a or faculty member for distinguished service to the legal profession and for loyalty and service to the School of Law. Award winners have demonstrated privately and professionally the quality of character, intellect and social or professional responsibility that the School of Law nurtures. Distinguished Jurist Award
The Law Alumni Association established this award in 2004 to recognize an alumnus/a who has distinguished him/herself by outstanding service on the bench. Many of Loyola's graduates have contributed to the promotion of justice in our society by serving with distinction on federal and state courts. St. Robert Bellarmine Award
This award was established in 1985 by the Law Alumni Association to honor alumni who have been in practice for 15 years or less and who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to the profession and to the School of Law. For a list of award winners, click here.
Francis J. Rooney/St. Thomas More Award
This award was originated in 1970 and is given annually by the School of Law in recognition of continuous and outstanding loyalty and dedicated service to the School of law. For a list of award winners, click here.
Damen Award
The Damen Awards, named in honor the university's founder and first president, Rev. Arnold Damen, S.J., are presented annually to an alumnus/a of each school and college within Loyola University Chicago. The award recognizes leadership in industry, community and service to others. The award is presented at the annual Founders' Dinner, which commemorates those who founded the university by honoring those individuals who continue to help it thrive. President's Medal
The President's Medal is presented annually by the President of Loyola University Chicago to a particularly distinguished alumnus/a. The award is presented at the annual Founders' Dinner, which commemorates those who founded the university by honoring those individuals who continue to help it thrive.
