The Jesuits
Loyola University Chicago is a Jesuit Catholic University in the heart of Chicago. Founded in 1870 by the Society of Jesus, Loyola remains true to its Jesuit heritage and to the vision of the founder of the Society of Jesus, St. Ignatius of Loyola.
