Research/Scholarship Awards & Grants
Funds are available to help Loyola researchers and scholars, as described below. The first priority of all internal funding programs administered by the Graduate School/Research Services is to increase the capacity of Loyola faculty to secure external funding for their research and/or other scholarly activities.
- Research Support Grants: All tenure and tenure-track faculty of Loyola University Chicago - Lakeside campuses are eligible to apply for a research support grant. Guidelines and Application

- Course Reduction (Scholarship Stimulation) Program: One-course reduction program for full-time, tenure-track faculty:
- College of Arts and Sciences
This competitive program, jointly sponsored by the Office of Research Services and the College of Arts and Sciences' (CAS) Dean's Office, is designed to provide a one-course reduction, in an academic year, to encourage the pursuit of scholarship among full-time, tenure-track faculty in the CAS. Each department's chairperson nominates up to two faculty proposals for the following academic year. For further information, please contact Arthur J. - School of EducationThis competitive program, jointly sponsored by the Office of Research Services and the School of Education, is designed to provide a one course reduction in an academic year to encourage the pursuit of scholarship for full-time, tenure-track faculty in SOE. - School of Business AdministrationThis competitive program, jointly sponsored by the Office of Research Services and the School of Business Administration, is designed to provide a one course reduction in an academic year to encourage the pursuit of scholarship for full-time, tenure-track faculty in SBA. Awards and Honors
These awards and honors are awarded to Loyola Faculty following various nomination processes:
- Faculty Member of the Year: Awarded to any full-time Loyola faculty member by the Faculty Council of Loyola University Chicago through a nomination process administered by Faculty Council during the spring semester of each academic year.
- Graduate School Faculty Member of the Year: Awarded to any faculty member of the Graduate School Faculty of Loyola University Chicago by the Graduate School through a nomination process administered by the Graduate School during the spring semester of each academic year.
- College of Arts and Science’s Sujack Teaching Awards: Awarded to any full-time faculty members of the College of Arts and Sciences through a nomination process administered by the College of Arts and Sciences during the spring semester of each academic year.
