Mission Statement
The mission of Loyola University Chicago Preschool is to provide a warm, caring and stimulating early childhood educational environment for children, ages 2-5. A highly qualified staff, including full-time teachers and undergraduate work study students, provide personal attention and professional child care with educational opportunities that encourage each child's physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth. The Preschool, situated on Loyola's Lake Shore Campus, offers a high quality early childhood education to the children of Loyolans and the community at large.
Staffing
Each of our three classrooms is staffed by two full time staff. Lead teachers have a minimum of two years experience and an undergraduate degree in the field of education. Assistant teachers have at least one year’s experience and undergraduate course work in early childhood education. The staff/child ratio is 1:6 for two year olds, 1:8 for three and four year olds.
