Center for Integrated Risk Management and Corporate Governance partners with PRMIA Institute
Partnership to Raise Standards for Graduate-Level Education in Risk Management - One of Ten University Partners Nationally and Globally
On March 10, 2008 Loyola University Chicago's Center for Integrated Risk Management and Corporate Governance announced the formation of a partnership with the Professional Risk Managers' Association (PRMIA) Institute, an organization devoted to graduate and professional education in risk management and financial engineering that will further advance the center's teaching, research, and programs, including professional certification and executive education.
- Enhancement of educational experiences for Loyola University Chicago
- Creating new and interesting seminars and symposiums
- Customized training and education programs held in conjunction with the institute
- Loyola faculty members will teach professional certification courses offered soley through PRMIA

Donald Schwartz, Director of the Center for Integrated Risk Management and Corporate Governance and Clinical Professor of Finance at Loyola University Chicago, along with Robert Kolb, Professor of Finance and Frank W. Considine Chair in Applied Ethics, facilitated this partnership.
PRMIA has invited Professor Kolb to sit on the organization's Academic Advisory Committee, made up from representatives from around the globe, which facilitates a two-way flow of resources and information between practitioners adn the academic community.
PRMIA Institute is a non-profit educational institution formed to promote the scientific, educational, and charitable work of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association. Through partnerships with leading universities and faculty, the PRMIA Institute seeks to set the international standards of best practice for graduate-level education in risk management and financial engineering and to provide best-in-class professional development courses to working professionals.
