Special Class in honor of Lincoln's 200th birthday
Lincoln and Leadership MGMT 399
In honor of Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday the Management Department is offering a special class on Lincoln as a leader and manager. This class will only be offered in Spring 2009.
Leadership is one of the essential ingredients of business, politics, and life. Leaders help to set the tone, develop the vision, and shape the behavior of all those involved in organizational life. In studying Lincoln as a person and a President this class will reflect on how “Lincoln’s Leadership Style” can be applied to today’s world of business.
Thanks to the generosity of Dean Abol Jalilvand of the School of Business Administration, this class will include a number of nationally known guest speakers as well as a two day all expense paid trip to Springfield, Illinois. The trip will include a reception at the Old State House Building, tour of the Capital, and tours of Lincoln’s home and tomb.
This class will be limited to 25 students and will meet on Wednesdays at 4:15 to 6:45 at the WTC. Instructor’s permission is required for registration and admission into the class. Please contact Professor Al Gini, at 312-915-6093 or agini@luc.edu.
