A presentation from Renny Golden, Ph.D.
Renny is a published poet and has written several books, including books on Salvadoran women during that country's civil war, on foster children in Illinois, and on incarcerated women and their children. She is retired
from the criminal justice department at NEIU and is currently teaching a course on women in prison in the Loyola Sociology department.

CONGRATULATIONS to sociology senior Ruth Ashton!
Ruth has won first place in the Illinois Sociological Student Paper Upper Division Competition.
She will be traveling to Rockford to present "Megachurchses: The Sacred, The Profane, and Increasing Religious Authority" at the ISA annual meeting at the end of October.
