As a Loyola student, you can take advantage of college internships and research opportunities that will extend your learning outside of class.
Loyola's Center for Experiential Learning can connect you to plentiful internship opportunities with partner organizations and business across the city of Chicago and around the world. Our academic internship program allows you to gain hands-on experience at internship sites while earning college credit at the same time. This way, you'll combine classroom learning with actual real-world experience. College internships can help you explore your interests, gain practical skills, and build solid career networks that will assist you long after graduation.
Another way for you to bring your academic interests to life is to participate in research. Many universities reserve coveted research opportunities for graduate students, but at Loyola, we've established a comprehensive research enrichment program solely for undergraduates. The Loyola Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (LUROP) empowers you—regardless of your major—to explore your research interests in depth alongside a faculty mentor. The University currently offers twelve different research programs for undergraduate students.
